Flip-flops, starfish, and a happily expecting bride in an intimate and casual beachfront wedding
Photographer Gabrielle Fox first met Hilary and Dave when they hired her to do a maternity shoot while Hilary was pregnant with their first child. Two years later, with another little one on the way, the couple reunited with their fave photographer when she shot their beautiful wedding at a private estate on the California coast. The event was a perfect combination of relaxed fun and gorgeous details, with abundant floral and cacti arrangements by Stem Design Studio. With all the ladies in beachy, flowing dresses, and the men in khakis and linens, the mood was stylish, sunny, intimate and fun.

A sweet bouquet of flowers for the bride, from the groom, came with this card.

A fabric-covered guestbook, real starfish, and hand-lettered placecards create a beachy cool, personal feeling.

No uncomfortable heels or formal shoes for this wedding party! Don’t you just love Dave’s stylin’ white loafers, and the beach-friendly flip-flops on the ladies?

The bridesmaids dresses fade from sky blue to seafoam green, reflecting the colors of the seascape.

Who needs an aisle runner when you’ve got baby cacti lining a sandy path to the altar?

Dave’s ring is made of eco-cool koa wood from Hawaii.

Many thanks to Gabrielle Fox, Hilary and Dave, for sharing these lovely photos and their joyful day with us!
