World’s Oldest Newlyweds Tie The Knot

He’s 100 years old, she’s 93. But when Forrest Lunsway and Rose Pollard got married on March 19th, they felt like a couple of kids.
“We’ve got many happy years left as I intend to stick around until I’m at least 110. You’ve got to use it or lose it,” said Forrest.

The happy couple met all the way back in 1983 at a senior’s dance (that’s right — they’ve been together and have been “seniors” for almost 30 years!) Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records are verifying that Forrest and Rose really are the oldest couple ever to marry.

They were married on Forrest’s 100th birthday, at Rose’s request. We wish this beautiful couple many more years of love and happiness! Now go watch the adorable video of their wedding ceremony.

A Wedding for World’s Most-Pierced Woman

Elaine Davidson, the Guinness world record holder for body piercing, married her un-pierced prince in Scotland on June 8th.

46-year-old Elaine has a total of 6,925 piercings, including 1,500 that are “internal”. In her wedding photos, she’s 192 facial piercings and face paint, and is accompanied by her new husband, Douglas Watson

Watson, 60, said of his bride, “Elaine looked astonishing. People see the piercings, but I see the amazing personality underneath. We have known each other for a long time.”

There are no words for the brilliance of this video. It is simply one of the most clever, hysterically funny, and oddly touching wedding toasts ever, including a song called “I Want to Make Love to Your Love”, a room full of shocked and delighted guests, and even a gift of breast milk in a bag (yes, you read that right).

My favorite part is the reactions of the family elders. Check out the confused older gentleman in the kippah. Pure awesomeness.

Flash Mob Proposal on UCLA Campus

Nam Tran met his girlfriend Trang while they were both students at UCLA. So when it was time to propose, he brought her back to campus for an AMAZING surprise flash mob proposal.

As a huge mob of people danced to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” Nam popped the question. This video will absolutely make your day!! Nam is by far the most adorable and enthusiastic dancer I’ve ever seen, and the pure joy and exuberance of this crowd is incredible.

Amazing Identical Twin Marriages

What happens when one set of identical twins marries another? It’s officially called a “quaternary marriage”, and it results in lots of fun family photos!

Identical twin sisters Diane and Darlene Nettemeier met identical twin brothers Craig and Mark Sanders ten years ago. The sets of twins fell in love, went on a double date to Las Vegas, and won thousands of dollars at poker. Celebrating their lucky streak, they got engaged on the same day, married in a double ceremony, and built a pair of homes side by side. The couples now have 5 children between them, and despite a million-to-one odds, Diane and Craig even had identical twin boys!

Ginna and Gaylen Glasscock started dating Erich and Nicholas Schmidt during their freshman year at ACU. Both knew they were with the right twin, because Gaylen says that she and Nicholas are more goal-oriented and outspoken while Ginna and Erich are laid back. After three years of dating, Nicholas and Erich proposed to their girlfriends together. Then the couples had a double wedding, in which they shared wedding attendants, the church and a reception (this saved them a bundle!) Gaylen and Nicholas walked down the aisle at 4 p.m. with bridesmaids dressed in yellow. Ginna and Erich were married at 5:30 p.m. with bridesmaids wearing pink. The reception was also split – one side was decorated in pink, the other in yellow. Of course, the girls served as each other’s maid of honor, and the boys were each other’s best man

These identical twins are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversaries, after proposing on the same day. When Frank Sinton asked Irene Evans to marry him in 1947 he had no idea his identical brother Roy had chosen the same day to propose to Joyce Toft. Now the 83-year-olds are celebrating 60 years of happy married life.

In Yiwu, China, people were confused at how one couple managed to run their busy restaurant 21 hours a day. Locals had nicknamed the eatery the “robot couple restaurant”, since it looked as if one couple was on duty from 6am through to 3am. It turns out the restaurant is run by two identical twin couples! The twin brothers, 32, married a set of twin sisters from the same township and moved to Yiwu to run the restaurant together. “Many diners thought we worked too hard and are like robots, but they don’t know that we are actually four people,” said Mao Zhanghua, 32, the elder brother.

Zombie Apocalypse Engagement Shoot

A 127 Year Old Wedding Dress & A Real Recycled Bride!

Allison Rinaldi was the 5th woman in her family to wear the heirloom wedding dress originally purchased in 1884 by her great-great grandmother Nellie Campbell.

The dress has been kept preserved in linen in the closet, and the brides of the family make it a point not to wear the dress to their receptions, in order to avoid spills or snags.

Princess Kate’s Wedding Dress – Made of Balloons!

When balloon artist Thelma Levett’s daughter Vicky decided to get married, mom set about making her a wedding dress. But she didn’t use a needle and thread, and there was nary a stitch of taffeta or satin in sight.

Thelma is a balloon artist, and she used more than 5,000 balloons that took more than four days to blow up to create her daughter’s gown.

The balloons in the bodice aren’t inflated, but the ones in the skirt are. It took Levett several months to create the dress. The gown was inspired by Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress.

“It’s not a replication,” Levett told HuffPost Weird News. The Daily Mail said that and now I’m getting all sorts of comments. I never claimed it was Kate Middleton’s dress — that wouldn’t translate to balloons — but it is in the spirit.”
