Out in the pastures and down by the barn, the “Bride” and “Groom” had it all. The dress from Park Avenue Bridal, hair by Alison LeeAnn, and makeup by Ruthless Beauty. A Fantasy in Flowers designed the three different bouquets to play upon the rustic theme that were wrapped with bandanas, beads and rope.

Although this was a shoot, the Bride and Groom had a three tiered cake, designed in theme by Kakes by Katie, that provided for an all out cake trashing as a finale! Enjoy the photos and the fun…

Carolyn had picked to have the wedding at the city’s local relic, the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. The museum provided a beautiful backdrop for photographer Cathie Berry-Green of BG Productions, plus it enabled the wedding to host guest in different areas throughout the day!

The ceremony took place in the beautiful cobblestone courtyard. Cocktail hour was enjoyed in the Warden Garden. Dinner was served in the high-ceiling Chinese Rotunda. And the night ended with drinks and dancing in the Upper Egypt Gallery. Floral design was provided by the talented Marybeth of Studio M Designs.

Staying true to incorporating their passions, the couple chose details that guests could thoroughly enjoy. The table “numbers” were local breweries and when guests sat down for dinner, they were enticed to a short history of each pub. The guests also received cookie cutters in the shape of leaves to carry on the fall theme. Groom Paul was pleasantly surprised to find he had his own cake with an image of Jim Morrison on it, as a tribute to his love for The Doors.

Even Caitlin’s rhinestone owl hair clip coordinated with the day’s theme and color scheme.

The beautiful patterned fabric that decorated the outdoor ceremony area later doubled as the backdrop for a fun photo booth!

Caitlin hand-decorated the centerpiece vases with peppermint candy and Twizzlers. So creative!

Don’t you just love the dramatic aisle and simple ceremony area? Nature truly is the best backdrop for a wedding like this. In the silver buckets at the end of the aisle are parasols to protect guests from the sun.

Kate and Norm are usually dressed head-to-toe in firefighting gear. So when they both emerged looking elegant and stylish at their simple and chic ranch wedding, their guests were truly wowed! The couple entrusted the design of the wedding to the talented Kim Duncan at KD Events, who made great use of nature’s bounty with the rustic elegant details and decorations. Ultramarine blue shoes to. die. for. And Kate’s gorgeous dress is an off-the-rack design from Nordstrom, proving once again that you don’t have to spend thousands at a bridal salon to look lik a million bucks.

When Amber Gustafson of Amber Events talked to lovely bride Joanna about her wedding day vision, it quickly became clear that Joanna wanted to keep things simple. She didn’t want a guestbook, cake knife, toasting glasses, cake topper, favors, garter, or many other traditional wedding accoutrements, but instead wanted to focus on the experience of just being with her family and friends and creating a night to remember. So Amber planned a celebration that was all about simple beauty, using elegant ivory and metallic details to set off the natural beauty of Autumn at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. The stunning photos are by Raya Carlisle of Raya Photography.

Don’t you just love Joanna’s bold bridal accessories? They’re finds from Neiman Marcus. Her dress was custom made by Jose Flores, a Hollywood tailor famous for working with Monique Lhuillier and designing incredible one-of-a-kind gowns. Joanna worked with Jose to design the dress, and bought the buttons at M&J Trim in New York. Her veil was also custom made by Pol Atteu Couture in Beverly Hills. I just love when brides do something unique with their attire and support the local economy!

David is one of the sweetest grooms ever! While watching a football game with his groomsmen before the wedding, he sent gifts to Joanna’s bridal suite, including a pair of diamond earrings and a Packer’s jersey with her new last name on it.

The feather placecard accents and manzanita tree are so casually elegant.

I just loooove this pretty cake! It’s by La Starr Cakes.

Aside from a few toasts, the evening was free of the formalities that accompany most weddings. Joanna and David even quietly cut the cake in the corner with just their parents and photographers as they did not want to stop their 160 guests from dancing and enjoying themselves.

As the product of a multi-ethnic marriage, nothing warms my heart more than seeing a beautiful wedding that seamlessly blends and honors different cultural traditions — especially when it’s done in super-elegant style! For Adam and Kim of New York City, their dream wedding meant inviting 100 friends and family members to spend 3 days aboard the Seadream yacht, for a celebration that included a traditional tea ceremony, a ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) and a chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy), fireworks (!), lots of groovy tunes, great food, and FUN!

Embarkation was followed by a casual, fun rehearsal dinner.

The busy wedding weekend itinerary still left plenty of time for r&r…and champagne!

Cornflower blue and fuschia are bright and cheery against the ocean backdrop and elegant white of the Seadream.

Oh-so-elegant reception table centerpieces use an assortment of glass vases to showcase single-variety bouquets. The cornflower blue and fuschia color scheme works as well indoors as out.

Elegant food is presented with a flourish — check out the video above for the wait staff’s synchronized unveiling of the entrees!

Everything about Justine and Robert’s wedding was fresh, stylish, and eco-chic. Held at the romantic Nestldown estate in the Santa Cruz mountains, this event perfectly pairs a rustic, natural backdrop with glamorous details like Justine’s sexy Melissa Sweet wedding dress, and lush floral bouquets to match the fresh orange, green and purple palette. It was all photographed by Gia Canali, whose fantastic blog is a must-read for in-the-know wedding folks.

Vinny, the couple’s dog, was their ring bearer. He is SO handsome in his purple tie and ring pillow! And check out the fresh and stylish bridal party attire, which you can catch glimpses of behind Vinny.

I love how the couple went with mostly orange adornments for their simple and beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Potted herbs adorned the outdoor cocktail tables and buffet created by Back to Earth Catering, which specializes in Earth-friendly organic dishes made from locally grown ingredients.

Table centerpieces incorporated dahlias, orchids, pitcher plants, fresh in-season fruit, leaves, succulents, etc., in unique still-life style arrangements.

The bride and groom make their exit in her father’s classic Alfa Romeo…such a stylish car!

The photographer brought along an antique Italian parasol she found at a flea market in Miami that she had been saving for years for the perfect couple and a wedding that matched. The love is in the details! Thanks again to Gia Canali for sharing these great pics with us.

Nobody knows wedding style better than a wedding photographer. So when photog Lori Yohe got married on a private estate in Corona, California, she expertly combined sophisticated attire and decorations with homey, simple details to create a warm and unique celebration. Captured by one of our favorite wedding photographers, Laura Grier of Beautiful Day Photography, this wedding is charming, beautiful, down-home fun.

Lori was inspired by this wedding, which we featured a few months ago, and hired bride Alissa to create her headpiece and add colorful tulle and a bustle to her gown. Check out Alissa’s Modern Nostalgia for more cool bridal designs.

Fun personalized details! Garters with the logos of the bride and groom’s favorite teams, and cowboy boots for the bride. How great would it be to throw those boots on with a pair of jeans and say, “I’m wearing my wedding shoes today”?

A colorful and playful dessert table features cookies baked by the bride and groom’s moms, representing Nebraska and Penn State. The moms then had to eat each others’ rival team cookies. These guys are serious sports fans!

Wildflowers in mason jars decorated the tables, and paper lanterns added a festive and chic touch. Both are perfect decorations for budget brides with miles of style.
